Kicking off careers at CBC Jobs Fair
Second Campus Jobs and Careers Fair pairs jobseekers with employers
The second Cambridge Biomedical Campus Jobs and Careers Fair saw 150 jobseekers come and find out how they can start a career in health and life sciences with employers across the Campus.
12 different organisations were involved in the event, which was held at the Cambridge Academy for Science and Technology (CAST) on 29 June 2024.
Gill Wilson, Enlivenment Lead for Cambridge Biomedical Campus Ltd (the non-profit partnership organisation who planned the jobs fair) said:
“It’s been great talking to such a variety of people across different ages who want to know more about the different roles available and health and life sciences, from administrators in the NHS to lab technicians, scientists to HR. As the biggest employment site in Cambridge we have so much to offer.”
The team from Long Road 6th Form College enabled people to step into lab and clinical settings through virtual reality headsets, whilst Form the Future had information aimed specifically at young people to show the world of career possibilities, inspire them to dream big and empower them to fulfil their full potential.
“There was a great range of employers here. I came here not knowing what I wanted to do as a career, but some of conversations here today have really given me food for thought on a future in life sciences”
