Full schedule announced for Cambridge Wellness Festival 2023
Join us for this free wellness event on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus on 12 September
The Cambridge Biomedical Campus is inviting people to take time to focus on their own health and wellbeing at the first Cambridge Wellness Festival, with the full schedule of events published today.
The free event is open to the public as well as Campus staff and will be hosted on The Green and The Gardens – the space between Royal Papworth Hospital and AstraZeneca’s new DISC building behind Addenbrooke’s Hospital.
The Wellness Festival will comprise stalls, activities, talks and workshops across three tents. There is no charge for entry or for any activity and all stands and activities are running from 10am until 7pm on 12 September 2023.
Drop-in activities throughout the day include yoga, qigong and sound baths, whilst a packed schedule of talks will help you learn about different elements of wellness. There will also be meditation sessions in Mynd’s Mobile Meditation Unit and gym sessions with Fitness Rush – visit Liam Rush in his amazing mobile gym and talk through what he has to offer.
Gill Wilson, Campus Enlivenment Lead for the Campus, said:
“The Cambridge Biomedical Campus is the largest centre of medical research and health science in Europe and the biggest employment site in Cambridge. There is so much going on here that we want to give everyone the chance to learn about healthy habits which could improve their social, physical and mental health. But it’s not just limited to people working here, we want local people to benefit from having the Campus on their doorstep so we encourage anybody who is interested to come along and get involved.”
There is no need to book but why not let us know you are coming via the Facebook event.
The Green and Gardens is the green space between Papworth Hospital and the new AstraZeneca building. You can find it via What 3 Words or Google Maps, or look out for signposts on the day.
