AstraZeneca opens ‘The Hub’ on Campus
On Monday 23 September, AstraZeneca opened The Hub, a building purposely designed to enable employees, colleagues across the Cambridge Biomedical Campus (CBC), and members of the local community to collaborate, socialise and unwind.
The Hub is located on Francis Crick Avenue and offers a wide range of facilities and services. The ground floor is open to the wider CBC community and members of the public and includes a café/bar area as well as a shop where you can buy those last- minute items that will save you an additional trip to the supermarket.
The Café@TheHub is open throughout the day and early evening offering a selection of tempting meals and light bites at breakfast, lunch and dinner time.

The Hub was designed by Herzog de Meuron, the Swiss architecture firm behind Tate Modern and The Discovery Centre (DISC). In line with AstraZeneca’s sustainability commitments, The Hub has already secured design-phase BREEAM certification (the world’s leading science-based suite of validation and certification systems for sustainable built environment) and is pursuing ‘outstanding’ certification for the post-construction phase.
