Cambridge Biomedical Campus announces 2024 Winter Celebrations

Carollers singing on The Green, the sky is lit up by the large sparkling Campus Christmas tree.

The Cambridge Biomedical Campus is thrilled to announce its annual Winter Celebrations are back for 2024, a series of festive events that brings together the entire Campus community and its neighbours and celebrates the holiday season.

Starting the celebrations AstraZeneca is partnering with CBC Ltd to host a Winter Market in their new AstraZeneca Hub (2-5.30pm) on Wednesday 27th November, where you can shop for locally made gifts or pick up a treat or two for yourself. In addition to the market’s shopping and food offerings, there will be plenty of family-friendly activities, including games, festive entertainment, and a raffle.

Straight after the market, at 5.30pm we’ll be switching on the lights of our 35ft Campus Christmas tree with carols from our Campus Choir and hot food and drinks available from a local food van.

On Friday 29th November the Cambridge Stem Cell Institute is hosting their 3rd annual Christmas Market, tin partnership with CBC in in the Jeffrey Cheah Biomedical Centre (12noon-6pm) with even more craft goods and presents on offer. THe market will be followed by a Christmas Quiz and live music (6-8pm) next door at the CRUK Cambridge Institute.

Nick Kirby, Managing Director for Cambridge Biomedical Campus Ltd, said:

“Our Winter Celebration is about more than celebrating the time of year- it’s about celebrating the community that makes Cambridge Biomedical Campus so special. We want everyone to feel welcome and take part in these festive events. Whether you live nearby, are a patient or one of our hard-working members of staff, this celebration is for you.”
