Sing! Choirs at the CBC
Join us for a weekly, term-time, early-evening choir on the CBC. Sing! Choirs provide a chance to sing in a choir regardless of experience.
Sing! Choirs provides an opportunity for people to sing pop, rock and songs from the shows in a choir regardless of their experience or ability. It’s completely free, there are no auditions and you don’t need to be able to read music.
The choir meets to rehearse at 5.15pm for an hour every Wednesday during term-time Cambridge Academy for Science and Technology (CAST) on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus. Please note that the post code does not take you to CAST – find it here on What 3 Words.
We’d love to welcome new voices to our choir – spaces are now available!
To find out more, please contact Kathryn Hayes, our Musical Director, on kathryn@singchoirs.com
Pre-registration with Kathryn is required – please do not just turn up. Priority is given to those who work on campus and those who live very nearby so please be prepared to let Kathryn know your connection to the campus.
You must be 18 to take part.
Kathryn Hayes, who has been running Sing! Choirs since 2011, runs Sing! Choirs at the CBC. This exciting group is not only for those who work on the CBC, but is open to everyone who lives in the local communities, too. There is no charge to attend!
This is a friendly choir, and you are encouraged to socialise, chat and get to know each other. You are not obliged to perform in any concerts, although those who want to will be able to!
We understand that you might not be able to make it every week and that is fine. Kathryn has the music and parts on her website that you can download and learn at home in order to keep up. And if you can’t afford the time to do that, just come along anyway – you will be made most welcome!
While we encourage the use of public transport, walking or cycling, the nearest Car Park is NCP Car Park 1 on the CBC.

“When I moved to Cambridge and joined the choir, it was great to have a weekly social time where everyone was so welcoming. Now some of my friends have joined too and it’s a great way to have fun and practice my English!
