Mindfulness and Meditation on Campus

Blue Sky

Mindful movement/meditation on a Wednesday morning.

Start your day with intention and calm. Move gently. Breathe deeply. Centre yourself for what lies ahead. Join us for a grounding session that blends mindful movement and meditation to create clarity and presence for your day.

The intention is simply to create a moment of calm and clarity — a chance to reconnect with yourself, feel your feet on the ground, and step into the rest of your day with a little more presence and ease.

Book if you can so we can let you know of any updates/cancellations, otherwise, please just drop in!

Note: Takes place every other Wednesday from 8:30am, starting Wednesday 21st January.

What to expect:

These fortnightly Wednesday‑morning sessions are a simple invitation to arrive — to begin your day with intention, steadiness, and groundedness. They offer an informal, gentle space to pause, breathe, and settle yourself before the day gathers pace.

Each 30‑minute session will offer one of two practices:

  • a short guided meditation, followed by a light, optional enquiry into what you noticed or how the practice landed with you

Or

  • a mindful movement session, using slow, accessible seated or standing postures to help you settle your body, soften your breath, and create a little more spaciousness for the day ahead.

No equipment or special clothing required. The meditations and movements are gentle and can be done in whatever posture feels right for you, sitting, standing, or lying down. If you prefer to lie down, you’re welcome to bring a mat, though it’s entirely optional. You will be able to work within your own movement limits. If you have any medical concerns let us know at events@cuhp.org.uk so that we can advise the session lead.
