Book your place nowDesigning healthcare solutions around real human experience
Healthcare solutions that make a real difference are designed around human experience, observing behaviours, emotions and needs rather than assuming early ideas reflect the true problem.
Lucy Jung, Founder of Charco Neurotech and LYEONS, will share how mapping the full patient journey, from early symptoms to long-term management reveals gaps in care and the importance of emotional and system-level experiences. Drawing on projects across conditions such as pain, paralysis, Parkinson’s, and dysregulation, she will show how insights guide adaptable, practical solutions.
Combining qualitative observation, interviews, and co-design with quantitative clinical data, Lucy demonstrates how early prototyping and iterative testing builds usable, scalable solutions that align with NHS pathways, stakeholder priorities, and real-world impact.
This session will be Chaired by Richard Westcott the Director of Communications for Cambridge University Health Partners and Cambridge Biomedical Campus
